Well, I have set up several interviews with the UCC (university career center) but i still believe I could use some help from you guys.
Please render me any advice you can.
I have an interview w/ Credit suisse but my interviewing skills are not too great.. help?
Nobody really likes interviews, they can be nerve wrecking.
--Don%26#039;t show them you%26#039;re nervous. Sometimes nervousness makes us talk allot which turns into rambling and you end up saying stuff interviewers really don%26#039;t want to hear.
--Dress appropriately for guys, dress shirt, slacks. Girls no low neck blouses or opened-toe shoes. Well groomed, nice hair, makeup, clean nails.
--Have some notes ready, ask them questions as well. This shows that you are interested about the job. It%26#039;s ok to write notes yourself. Especially if you have several interviews lined up you don%26#039;t want to mix anybody up.
--DO NOT CHEW GUM.
--DO NOT HAVE YOUR CELL PHONE ON
--And most importantly just be yourself. After all if you get hired this is who they are gonna get to know anyway.
Good luck!
