How many times has Obama said he does not take money from registered lobbyist?

What is this about...

Lobbyist and people that were responsible for sub-prime mortgage meltdown.

And he said, he was for the people....

These seven Wall Street firms are (in order of money given): Goldman Sachs, UBS AG, Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. There is also a large hedge fund, Citadel Investment Group, which is a major source of fee income to Wall Street. There are five large corporate law firms that are also registered lobbyists; and one is a corporate law firm that is no longer a registered lobbyist but does legal work for Wall Street. The cumula棰卼ive total of these 14 contributors through February 1, 2008, was $2,872,128, and we閳ユ獧e still in the primary season.

Hmmm, I guess you%26#039;re either a Hillary lover or a Rethuglican, can%26#039;t tell. Provide a link. I just can%26#039;t take your word for it anymore. Cheers!

Touche...will read the article.

How many times has Obama said he does not take money from registered lobbyist?

The wall street journal:

How many times has Obama said he does not take money from registered lobbyist?

Heh. Over a week ago before the primaries, he said a few phrases. Then when watching a Texas rally a few days later, he said the same exact thing. No exaggeration. The phrase were all ordered the same thing and worded the same. This shows that the candidates think just a few grouping of words can win an election.

Get real. We are talking about American politics. I hate to dissapoint you but the Virgin Mary is not running this year. All the candidates are sullied in some way or another. (Your cites are Republican blogs which are exteremely suspect to say the least.)

%26quot;Lobbyist and people that were responsible for sub-prime mortgage meltdown.%26quot; You can%26#039;t even write in English. You want to tell people how to vote?

If you want to vote for another receipient of corporate money then do so, but don%26#039;t try an pretend that American politics is some sort of nunnery. It%26#039;s not. And you must think I%26#039;m pretty stupid to take you seriously. I don%26#039;t.

Lastly, if you causually follow the figures $2,872,128 is not sh!t. It%26#039;s not even a consolation prize. I think it was Mitt Romney who took in 14,000,000 in the first week of the primaries. It might have been more.

You want a honest man for President then raise Jesus from the dead have him run in the Democratic primary and then we%26#039;ll talk alternatives. Until then learn English: %26quot;does legal work for Wall Street%26quot; What the hell does that mean?

If you think any of it is a compelling argument. It is not. Anybody of voting age is a bit old for fairy tails and you don%26#039;t get into any position of power without making compromises. It dosn%26#039;t happen.

How many times has Obama said he does not take money from registered lobbyist?

Ya Obama takes money from lobbyists just in a very back handed way. Kind of like robbing a bank but saying you wernt holding the gun.

How many times has Obama said he does not take money from registered lobbyist?

I know this seems shady but you actually seem to have a bit of a misunderstanding. Let me clear this up for you, the accumulative contributions that you mention come from employees of those companies. Obama states he does not accept contributions from Washington lobbyists and he doesn%26#039;t. However the only way to know a contribution comes from Washington lobbyists is to ask the contributor, what their occupation is. When you make a contribution to any of the candidates you must fill out a form with your personal information on it, this information includes your employer, and your job title. For example when I make a contribution to the Obama campaign I list that I am a Claims Adjuster and I work for an Insurance Company. Does this mean that Obama is receiving contributions from my employer? NO!!! Does this mean Obama is supported by the Insurance lobby? NO!!!

Also when you make a donation you must state a number of things. For Obama some of those you must comply with to make a donation is:

1. That you as a contributor are a US citizen.

2. That you are at least 16 years old

3. That the contributions is not made from the funds of a corporation, labor organization or national bank.

4. The contribution is not made from the funds of a PAC

5. The contribution is not made from the funds or an entity related to a Federal Contractor

6. The contribution is not made from an individual registered as a federal lobbyist or foreign agent or an entity that is registered as a federal lobbying firm or federal agent.

7. That the funds being contributed arte being contributed on behalf of the contributor and not from any other source.

--------------------------------------...

Obama%26#039;s campaign has received contributions from lobbyists, and others whom who excludes, however those funds have either been returned or donated to charity.

Conversely to contribute to the Hillary Clinton campaign one must only confirm the following.

1. At least 18 years of age

2. The funds aren%26#039;t from the treasury of a corporation, labor organization or national bank.

3. The contributor is not a Federal contractor.

4. The contributor is not a foreign national who does not live in the US.
