with my w2s my earned income is about 8100. i paid $6041 for school last year on my 1098t. after i did my tax return i am only gettin 669. i thought that you could get over a 1000 dollars back because i paid for school. can somebody help me?

If you had $669 withheld from your paychecks - then as you now owe no income tax, your refund is $669.
You could have gotten $1000 back if you had $1000 withheld in the first place.
