Hillary Clinton and lobbyists?

I have a question for you Clinton fans, have you seen this and why are you voting for her.. ?

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/08/06/l...

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Democratic presidential front-runner Sen. Hillary Clinton is being taken to task by her two closest rivals for accepting $400,000 in campaign contributions from Washington lobbyists.

Sen. Hillary Clinton dismissed criticism that she took money from lobbyists, saying it would not influence her.

Over the weekend, Clinton was booed by an audience of liberal bloggers in Chicago when she defended taking money from Washington lobbyists, something both Sen. Barack Obama and former Sen. John Edwards have vowed not to do.

%26quot;I don%26#039;t think, based on my 35 years fighting for what I believe in, anybody seriously believes I%26#039;m going to be influenced by a lobbyist or a particular interest group,%26quot; Clinton said.

%26quot;A lot of these lobbyists, whether you like it or not, represent real Americans. They actually do. They represent nurses, they represent social workers -- yes, they represent corporations that employ a lot of people.%26quot;

The former first lady said that she welcomed the debate on the issue.

%26quot;I%26#039;ve been waiting for this. This gives us a real sense of reality with my being here,%26quot; Clinton said, prompting a loud rumble from the audience at a candidates%26#039; forum sponsored by The Daily Kos.

Edwards%26#039; response was to ask, %26quot;How many people in this room have a Washington lobbyist working for you?%26quot;

%26quot;You are not represented by Washington lobbyists. We need to cut these people off,%26quot; he said, to cheers.

Don%26#039;t Miss

Clinton, Obama report more than $30 mil in bank

Obama: My presidency would be a %26#039;transformation%26#039;

However, while eschewing contributions from Washington lobbyists, Edwards has accepted about $10,000 in contributions from lobbyists in his home state of North Carolina, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

The Edwards campaign said there is no inconsistency because his pledge did not extend to lobbyists representing local interests.

Monday, the Edwards campaign also said it would return a $4,600 donation from the Credit Suisse bank, which is registered to lobby in Washington.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, lobbyists actually provide less campaign cash than political action committees or donors directly affiliated with large corporate interests.

%26quot;But they do get a lot of attention because it%26#039;s very easy to point at them and say, well, these are the special interests, these are the people who most represent these big moneyed interests that are trying to influence policy,%26quot; said Massie Ritsch, a spokesman for the center.

And while the grassroots interests of many ordinary Americans are represented by Washington lobbyists, as Clinton noted, some political experts think that could be a hard case for her make.

Stu Rothenberg of the Rothenberg Political Report said that while Clinton is making an %26quot;analytical argument%26quot; about the way the political system works, Edwards %26quot;is simply getting the emotional advantage of portraying her as somebody who is close to lobbyists and big business and the establishment.%26quot;

Excuses! Excuses! Excuses!

Hillary Clinton and lobbyists?

My first thought was that I guess Obama and Haircut boy can%26#039;t get enough lobbyist money for it to matter. I highly doubt either one these guys is really doing it out of a matter of morals.

Hillary Clinton and lobbyists?

John Edwards has NEVER accepted donations from lobbyists or PACs - as a senator or presidential candidate.

OTOH - Media mogul Rupert Murdoch is sponsoring fundraisers for Hillary and funding her campaign. And Murdoch is affiliated with Bill Clinton%26#039;s empire comprised of the powerful and wealthy - now funding Hillary%26#039;s campaign.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0...

Oh - and Rupert Murdoch also bought Tony Blair in 1997 - promising positive media coverage in exchange for Blair allowing Murdoch to expand his media empire.

He bought Blair - now he%26#039;s bought Hillary - and the media provides pro-Hillary coverage 24/7.

http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/57376

John Edwards is the only candidate offering real solutions for the working poor and middle class - and that%26#039;s why the CORPORATE media smears him 24/7. But people are waking up - and aren%26#039;t relying on the CORPORATE media to shape their opinions about the candidates - because they know the media represents CORPORATE interests - not ours. And the corporate media promotes candidates who are raking in the corporate moolah and most likely to be in the corporations%26#039; pockets.

Bank-to-bank transfer?

How long will I be able to get the money transferred from a Credit Suisse account in Switzerland to a bank here in the Philippines?

Bank-to-bank transfer?

I%26#039;ve found that international wire transfers generally take 1 - 3 business days.

Bank-to-bank transfer?

as soon as they transferred it and during bank hours

Bank-to-bank transfer?

Hi,

It depends how good ur banking system in the

Philippines. If U transfer it T/T it should be there after

one hour or maximum one day. But ur banking system

isnt very efficient and not honest either.

rgds........................

Do you know what the real difference is in this election?

Its in who is donating the money. Ron Paul%26#039;s top 3 donors are Google, the Army, and the Navy. For other candidates, they are a who%26#039;s who of elites.

Hillary: DLA Piper, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley

Obama: Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, National Amusements Inc.

Giuliani: Ernst %26amp; Young, Elliot Management, and Credit Suisse Group

Romney: Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Marriot International

The real choice we have in this election is between electing a puppet of Goldman Sachs and similar companies or a man of the people. Do we want to let these elites continue to run our country into the ground or do we want to return America to what it was intended to be? Should we elect Ron Paul or should we elect one of the bought-and-paid-for candidates who oppose him?

source:http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/ar...

Do you know what the real difference is in this election?

Google employee%26#039;s, not the corporation itself. Service members, not the government itself. Don%26#039;t you like Giuliani, Pusher? Who takes some of the most from special interests? Isn%26#039;t it odd that Google as a corporation supports Net Neutrality, but Ron does not? Isn%26#039;t it odd that service members who are actually at war, support an anti-war candidate?

Then go to the source, and look at the amounts involved. I think your (non) answer is an example of %26quot;Blowback漏 RP 2007%26quot;. Corrected.

Do you know what the real difference is in this election?

We%26#039;re screwed no matter what?

Do you know what the real difference is in this election?

is google and the army and navy buying Ron Paul%26#039;s whats the differnts they are all no good lets just vote for Micky mouse!!!

Do you know what the real difference is in this election?

The only way to break the stranglehold is to vote %26#039;None Of The Above%26#039; when you go into the ballot booth.

Write in yourself and someone you know from out-of-state as President/Vice-President.

If everyone in the country did this (or at least a great percentage; say 15-20%), it would send a message to the %26#039;Power Brokers%26#039; that we are sick and tired of their sick and tired messages.

Do you know what the real difference is in this election?

Correct me if I%26#039;m wrong, but isn%26#039;t Google a corporation? If so, isn%26#039;t Ron Paul lying when he tells us he takes no donations from corporations??? Army and the Navy represent the defense industry, so Ron Paul is receiving money from %26quot;special interests%26quot; after all. . .

Woopsie!!! Guess Ron Paul is a little more like the other candidates than we care to admit. . .

Do you know what the real difference is in this election?

The amount of money a candidate has, has no bearing on how I will vote

Do you know what the real difference is in this election?

Yes I do! If we had OTHER constitutionally based candidates I would say %26quot;yes%26quot; there are options regarding candidates for me to vote for. We do NOT have OTHER constitutionally based candidates to choose from. Ron Paul is the ONLY viable candidate that I can HONESTLY say will represent me %26amp; my fellow Americans, constitutionally!

Do you know what the real difference is in this election?

Google doesn%26#039;t endorse Ron Paul, nor does the armed forces. These are just the employers. The employees of Google and the employees of the armed forces support Ron Paul. Not the employers.

When your donations go above $200, you are required to state your employer%26#039;s name and your occupation. So, anyone who has donated $200 or more will have to say who their employer is. So, it means that Ron Paul attracted supporters who work in the Google corporation on his visit, and he also attracted supporters from the armed forces. That%26#039;s all.

But the other candidates do get big donations from rich and well-to-do people, including the owners of the above mentioned corporations.

Do you know what the real difference is in this election?

Who is this %26quot;pusherhombre%26quot; guy with the Graduation Hat on. I keep reading his %26#039;answers%26#039; against Ron Paul, but they are always nonsense. What, school did this guy graduate from? He can%26#039;t come up with a decent rebuttal against the Good Doctor Paul, so he spews nonsense.

As to your question, Yes, I know what the real difference is, and thank you for pointing it out. RON PAUL 2008.

Credit Suisse?

Has anyone been contacted recently by this company regarding funds held in an account?

Credit Suisse?

this strikes me odd - since it simply is not their style. credit suisse is offering private banking and if you had money there i am reasonable certain you would know.

otherwise it would be a swiss attorney making contact with you regarding a probate matter and not the bank.

it sounds like a scam, maybe you wish to contact credit suisse about this.

http://www.credit-suisse.com/us/en/

Credit Suisse is giving me problems, because I want to transfer my funds somewhere else. What to do?

I have some funds in Switzerland since 20 years. I now want to transfer the funds to another country and bank. Credit Suisse is using all kinds of delay tactics to make it difficult for me. CS has alredy received the remittance instructions signed by the account signatory. It is quite a big amount we are talking about here and I want the funds tranfered as soon as possible. What can i do to make CS move? Where can I file an official complaint that bites them in the butt? What are my chances of suing them if they keep on dragging this out any further? What rights do I have?

Credit Suisse is giving me problems, because I want to transfer my funds somewhere else. What to do?

It would have been more %26quot;clever%26quot; to transfer the most of the money before mentioning the final closing...

Anyway, either you travel to Switzerland and find a responsible manager - or you employ a lawyer (expensive) or you contact the organisation of the link offered. This office is sponsored by all banks together to get such problems settled without costs for the client.

Credit Suisse is giving me problems, because I want to transfer my funds somewhere else. What to do?

Consult with a lawyer.

Is there a Credit Suisse Bank in London and how credible are they?

Is there a Credit Suisse Bank in London and how credible are they?

Yes it%26#039;s a scam

Is there a Credit Suisse Bank in London and how credible are they?

Is there a Credit Suisse Bank in London and how credible are they?

They have the gherkin building in the City.

It%26#039;s a Scam.
