tax credits said they sent payment yesterday to my bank which they accepted but there is nothing in my bank do i have to wait for it to clear my payments usually go in on a tuesday but they didnt yesterday and that was the reason they gave me help

Even if you had to wait for clearance of payment, bank should still be able to let you know where it is and when deposited, Then if no good results, go to tax credit and see if you can get a confirmation number for deposit, good luck!

payments usually need a few days to clear maybe a little longer if there is a back log from Xmas. in the words of TAKE THAT

Give til the end of the week. Things are probably still settling down again after Christmas %26amp; New Year. If you%26#039;re still worried, set up a temporary overdraft, so you don%26#039;t get caught out with charges for going overdrawn.

Check with your Bank. My tax credits usually go in on a Wednesday but during the Christmas and new year period they went in on the Friday. The payment showed up in my account straight away. But it could be the type of account you have. when i had just a building society account,the payments would go in on the Wednesday but not show up in the account till Thursday. Hope this helps
