Thomas Jefferson once said: %26quot;A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have%26quot;.
Supplemental income, tax credits for unearned income, tobacco/dairy subsidies, paying NOT to grow crops, welfare...what are your thoughts?
Is this where the U.S. is headed?
Americans have become lazy and dependent on the government. We have forgotten that it is not the governments job to support us.
We are a lot like pre-Hitler Germany. We have become apathetic and are looking for the easy answer, and if we are not careful we will get a Hitler that will give us an easy answer.
Is this where the U.S. is headed?
Yep, and it%26#039;s only gonna get worse over the next four years no matter who we put in The White House. Big government begets big government. However, it%26#039;s not all our fault. Part of the problem is due to the rapid growth of previous poor nations, such as China and India. Their increased demand for oil is jacking up the price of gasoline and other petroleum related products to the point where we may soon be unable to afford them. Although the Bush administration can%26#039;t actually come out and say it, that is the real reason we are in Iraq. It%26#039;s all about oil. And what better reason to be there than that? Afterall, what are you gonna run your car on without it...?
Is this where the U.S. is headed?
The US is going down the crapper. The manufacturing and engineering jobs that are the true backbone of a modern economy have been shipped overseas.
The gov%26#039;t lies about inflation (apparently unchallenged by the media) and prints up huge sums of money to %26quot;monetize%26quot; its debts, much of which is for money spent encouraging people to behave in manners that are detrimental to the economy.
Everyone looks around wondering WTF is happening to their purchasing power. It will be a harsh reality when the people of the US finally realize that they have been driven into poverty by their own government.
Is this where the U.S. is headed?
When people have a problem, or see something they don%26#039;t like, what %26#039;s the first thing they say????
%26quot;%26quot;%26quot;Why don%26#039;t they do something about it???%26quot;
Tom is right!
