Stupid cash machine?

i called to get some money out of a cash machine and it would%26#039;nt let me when i went to another machine it said that it had already gave me the money out of the first one but it did%26#039;nt i went to the bank and told them what had happened and they said it could take up to four week%26#039;s to sort out the money was my child tax credits and i am now left with no money i went to the social security and they said i have to wait untill the bank pays me back????

Similar thing has happened to me, however it showed up on my balance by the following day. Hopefully it will be the same for you, just keep checking. Banks will always give the worst case scenario. If it takes longer than a few working days get down to the bank and refuse to leave until they sort it out, make a fuss and make sure their other customers can hear how your children are going without food etc. Best wishes sweetie

Ring trading standards, tell them your predicament, and they will inform you of your rights. The bank may offer you an equivalent overdraft until the matter is resolved.

As its the banks machine, they can do a damn sight better than that! You get down to your bank and raise merry hell. They have no business to do that to you - you are a customer. In the age of computers and instant transactions, they are just taking the proverbial. Do not accept it!
