Can i get any financial help, i am currently not working but cannot get jobseekers. My husband earns less than 15k a year. I have an 18 month old son. I am looking for a job but in the meantime am struggling a bit - does anyone know if i can claim any benefits or anything.

You can try your local council to see if you can get help towards your rent and council tax if your renting - you dont say why your not able to claim JSA ......are you not eligible for Income Support??

You should check with you benefits office (if you have not done so already) - it sounds like you should be entitled to more in the way of tax credits. If you pay rent, you may be able to get some help with your rent, depending on how much it is. You can get some assistance if you ring up your local authority and ask to speak to the %26#039;Supporting People Team%26#039;.
