What are the benefit rates for a 23 year old man?

I%26#039;ve been made aware by my workplace that there are to be redundancys which could not have come at a worse time for myself and my family. It%26#039;s not been set in stone just WHO will be laid off but I want to be prepared so I know I have at least some money coming in whilst I look for work if the very worst does happen. A very good friend states that if your under 24 you only get about 鎷?5 per week is that right? currently I get working tax credits which include a disabled element does that get taken into account? Minus my wife and child how much would I expect to get each week for myself? Please don%26#039;t judge me I%26#039;ve worked since I was 16 and it%26#039;s always best to be prepared.

Thanks a lot.

either way... it%26#039;s not very good.

before you get made redundant - make sure you get registered with as many recruitment agencies as possible and make them aware of your circumstances so that as soon as you find yourself out of work, they can have something potentially lined up for you.. even if it%26#039;s temporary.

however, if it comes to it and you don%26#039;t manage to get another job straight away, call your local council %26amp; get some claim forms for council tax benefits..

if you think you could be entitled to any benefits - just apply.. the worst that could happen is that you get turned down.. as opposed to... actually receiving some benefits.

best of luck.

I would recommend you start applying to other places, even if you aren%26#039;t made redundant this time, your job is still under jeopardy and you don%26#039;t need that hanging over your head.
