How Long does it take for my Tax check to clear?

I had to pay for the FIRST time this year, I was just wondering how long does it take for it to clear?

I%26#039;m really anal about my money, between this little ditty and rent and student loans and credit card payments It is going to be very tight!!

A friend said it took almost a month to go through for her last year----I hope so.

with check 21 now it will probably be electronically cleared and is only a matter of time for the us postal service to deliver it. you are suppose to HAVE the money in any account at the time of writing the check except when the payee has AGREED to accept a post dated check.
