Earned Income Credit depends on your income. So, it will change every year. Every dependent (including your personal exemptions, you and your spouse) will get you $3400 off of your taxable income and standard deductions have also gone up $5350 single/MFS, $10700 MFJ, $7850 for Head of Household. Those amounts also come off of your taxable income. The less that your taxable income is and the more that you paid in federal taxes will get you a bigger refund. There is really no way to get a bigger refund unless you earned it. Check into whether you are eligible for the Child Tax Credit, the Additional Child Tax Credit or the Dependent Care Credit. These will help with that also.
